1. Tell us about your journey so far.

I currently hold the position of Head of SEO, ASO, and Content Marketing at Amber Student. With over six years of experience in the field, I've had the privilege of working with some renowned digital marketing agencies like Merkle Socrates, which is now known as Dentsu International, as well as Publicis Groupe.

These years at the digital marketing agencies hold a special place in my heart, as they marked my foundation years in this dynamic field. During this time, I've had the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to medium and small-sized businesses. I've had the pleasure of handling over 50 brands, both domestically and internationally. My team and I often refer to ourselves as digital Cupids, using our expertise in SEO and content marketing to ensure that websites find their perfect match with users.

Navigating through this journey has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. Managing a team of 30 to 40 members while overseeing a clientele of 45-plus certainly kept things exciting. We rarely had a dull moment, with the only "screams" we heard being the exclamations of delight from clients upon witnessing remarkable results. But beyond the jokes, I've come to realize that practice truly does lead to perfection. The years of experience have honed my skills, and while I may not claim expertise, I've certainly become adept in the field.

My passion for marketing runs deep. I find immense joy in staying updated on the latest trends and technologies that shape the industry. It's this passion that led me to embark on a new and exciting venture – launching my page on Instagram.

Additionally, I've been fortunate to be invited to several SEO conferences and engage in marketing webinars as a guest speaker. This continuous learning and sharing keep me fueled with motivation, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to connect with inspiring individuals like you.

To me, marketing has always been akin to a box of chocolates – full of surprises and delightful twists.

The ever-evolving nature of the field ensures that one can never predict what's coming next, but that's precisely what makes it all the more interesting and engaging.

2. In your opinion, what are some significant disruptors caused by recent Google algorithm updates?

Navigating the realm of SEO is akin to traversing uncharted territory – especially in the face of Google's ever-evolving algorithm updates. To me, labeling one particular update as the ultimate disruptor is quite a challenge. Each new algorithm tweak brings its own set of challenges, forcing us to adapt and innovate. However, certain updates have fundamentally transformed our approach to SEO. Two significant ones are voice search and video search.

The surging popularity of voice search assistants like Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant is rapidly molding the SEO landscape. This trend is compelling businesses to rethink their content and website optimization strategies. The shift towards conversational queries necessitates adjusting content to match the natural language used in voice searches. This implies embracing the nuances of conversational tones and adapting to the unique challenges posed by long-tail keywords and the intricacies of natural language processing algorithms.

In the wake of the COVID era, the explosion of video content has ushered in a new era of SEO dynamics.

Video SEO has emerged as a pivotal factor in optimizing search engines.

The adage "a picture is worth a thousand words" holds, but in today's digital landscape, a video is worth a million. Videos offer a wealth of benefits, from boosting organic search rankings to driving fresh traffic and engaging users at the top of the sales funnel. They serve as a powerful tool to address potential customer queries through educational content, creating an effective avenue for connection.

3. What are your thoughts on local SEO and personalized search results?

Undoubtedly, local SEO has risen to prominence, driven by the surge in "near me" searches and the increased significance of local listings. Businesses now must optimize their websites for local keywords, leveraging directories to enhance visibility in local search results.

Another often underestimated disruptor is the rise of personalized search results. Search engines are delving into user data, including search histories and online behaviors, to tailor search outcomes. This shift makes traditional SEO tactics like profile-building and basic keyword research less effective, highlighting the need for a more nuanced approach.
